In-Person Program

Between July 13 and July 24, SISMID offers 17 in-person modules. Each module is 2.5 days long (Monday morning to mid-day Wednesday, or mid-day Wednesday to Friday afternoon). Breaks and Meals

Catered lunches will be provided each day of classes. Light refreshments (coffee, tea, snacks) will be available during breaks, and hors d’oeuvres will be served at the Monday and Wednesday Networking Nights. Breakfast and dinner are on your own.

Lodging

In-person participants may reserve accommodations at nearby hotels or choose on-campus lodging in Emory’s dormitories. Dormitory rooms can be booked during SISMID registration. In-Person Professional Development

Networking Nights

On Monday and Wednesday nights, in-person SISMID attendees are invited to attend a networking mixer with fellow participants and program instructors. This is a relaxed opportunity to connect, debrief, and build community. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.

Poster Session

Each Networking Night includes an informal poster session open to all attendees. Presenting a poster is optional and offers a great opportunity to share work and connect with instructors and peers. Sign-ups will open in June, and all posters will be accepted.

Lunch and Learn

During Tuesday and Thursday lunches, in-person students are invited to attend optional "Lunch and Learn” sessions. These will be presentations or panel discussions with featured experts. Topics include skills building and information about fellowships and career opportunities. Some days have multiple concurrent sessions, and students are able to select one session to attend.
