The Emory Rollins School of Public Health

SISMID will be held on the second floor of the R. Randall Rollins Building, one of three connected buildings that comprise the Emory Rollins School of Public Health. Opened in 2022, the R. Randall Rollins Building is a state-of-the-art facility designed for collaborative learning and research. It features flexible classroom spaces, advanced audiovisual capabilities, and convenient on-site amenities, including a Dancing Goats Coffee Bar. The building is located at 1516 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30322, on Emory University’s main campus, directly across the street from the Emory Clinic.

Parking

The closest parking deck is the Michael Street Parking Deck, across the Claudia Nance Rollins Building, at 550 Houston Mill Road Atlanta, GA 30322. The visitor parking deck is the second parking entrance on Rollins Way. The cost for the visitor parking deck is $14 per day. Visitor parking vouchers are available for scholarship recipients.

Lodging

In-person participants who prefer to stay at a hotel may choose the nearby Emory Conference Center Hotel, which is within walking distance of the venue, or other nearby hotels. Several options are suggested in Downtown Decatur. Downtown Decatur is conveniently connected to Emory’s main campus by the free Clifton Corridor shuttle (CCTMA), which provides regular service between campus and downtown Decatur.

Emory Dorm Rooms

Emory offers on-campus dormitory housing as a lower-cost alternative to hotels for in-person participants. If you plan to stay in campus housing, please reserve your room when registering for SISMID.

  • Single Occupancy Rate: $65/night
  • Linen packages are included with a pillow, pillowcase, fitted sheet, blanket, and a towel, but you must bring your toiletries!
  • *Please note that it is not necessary to remove linens from your bed upon checking out of the dorms.
  • Woodruff Residential Center residents enjoy spacious rooms with high ceilings, excellent amenities, convenient parking, easy access to Lullwater Park, and a bathroom (shared only with the adjacent suite). Double rooms and a limited number of single rooms are available. Each room is air-conditioned and equipped with movable furniture.

    Express Check Out: There is an express check out box located on the first floor of Clifton Towers next to the back door for those who want a more convenient check out.
